Most spec books and ACI guidance won't let you place when the ambient temperature is heading below 40°F without cold-weather protection (blankets, heated enclosures, accelerator, hot water in the mix), and hot-weather placement above roughly 90°F brings its own headaches — flash set, plastic shrinkage cracking, and a finisher fighting the slab the whole way.
