Stucco is one of the few trades on a commercial or multi-family job where you can't buy back time. - Weather-resistive barrier: two layers of Grade D building paper (or an approved WRB) over the sheathing, lapped shingle-fashion. On most jobs this wants an inspection before lath goes up.

- Accessories — casing bead, corner aid, reveals, trims: These set your lines and thicknesses. Confirm material is on site and installed before scratch coat; a missing box of reveal on delivery day stalls the whole elevation.
- Opening terminations: Where stucco dies into windows, doors, and dissimilar materials, the sealant joint and backer detail matter as much as the plaster. Coordinate with the glazing and caulking scopes so nobody terminates into a joint that was supposed to stay open.
Scaffold and access are their own schedule
Stucco needs full access to every exterior surface, usually off pump jacks, frame scaffold, or swing stages. Access is frequently shared with other exterior trades — siding, painters, sealant, roofers at the parapet. If your look-ahead doesn't reconcile the stucco sequence against the scaffold plan and the other trades hanging off the same steel, you'll get the classic standoff where two subs need the same bay in the same week. Protect the finish coat like it's money — because it is
Color coat is unforgiving on consistency. Batch-to-batch color variation and stop-and-start lines show up as shadows on the finished wall, and the owner will see them from the parking lot. Two planning rules: finish a full, uninterrupted plane in one pass wherever you can — plan crew size and material to carry a wall corner-to-corner or joint-to-joint without a cold joint mid-wall — and confirm you have enough of the same finish lot on site to do it.
