An equipment storage building looks like the easiest job on your board. Big rectangle, tilt-up or pre-engineered metal, a slab, some oversized doors, and a couple of service bays. Wash and decontamination bays mean water in, contaminated water out, and containment. That's plumbing, a treatment or reclaim system, and drainage that has to be roughed in under the slab before it's placed. Equipment operations — charging, lifts, compressors, fuel pumps — pull real electrical load. That date belongs on your lookahead the day you have it; if it slips to two weeks after your planned turnover, better to know in week one than week five.
Security — perimeter fence, gates, gate operators, cameras, access control — sequences with site development. Fence goes in after grading and paving so you're not fighting the fence line with equipment. Gate operators need power and low-voltage, so coordinate them with the electrical scope rather than treating them as an afterthought item that shows up unpowered.
Outdoor storage yards, whether paved or compacted gravel, run in parallel with the building but compete for the same earthwork and paving crews. How to actually run the six weeks

- Pull the plan. Sit the foremen and key subs down and build the next six weeks together, working backward from milestones. The people doing the work name the constraints, because they know where the bodies are buried.
- Screen every task for constraints. A task doesn't move into the weekly work plan until its constraints are clear — material on site, prerequisite work done, inspection passed, RFI answered, crew and equipment available. Anything not clear is a make-ready action with an owner and a date.
